The Center for Philanthropy at IRP-HSG is inviting applications for a
Research Associate/Doctoral Student
The newly established center focusses on interdisciplinary research on philanthropy and its role in society with a particular focus on thought leadership. It also provides strategic advice to the university's fundraising activities.

The position offers an opportunity to pursue doctoral studies at University of St. Gallen (HSG) while assisting in research and teaching. Particular emphasis will be placed on conceptual work regarding fundraising. The position requires a thorough, precise and efficient working style.
The successful candidate has acquired (or is about to complete) a Master's degree in Social Sciences (incl. Economics), Law or the Humanities with excellent grades. Interest in the broader context of philanthropy - demonstrated by academic and/or practical work - is required. Fluency in English and German is essential, a meticulous sense of writing in particular.
The successful candidate meets the requirements for pursuing doctoral studies at HSG (https://www.unisg.ch/en/studium/zulassungundanmeldung/zuldoktoratsstufe) and is expected to enrol as a doctoral student in one of the programmes.
The salary is in accordance with the University of St.Gallen's salary scale for institute assistants with master's degrees.
