Data Analyst - Competitive Intelligence (w/m) 80-100%

Your mission
  • As part of the Strategy / Competitive Intelligence team, you are the point of contact for business partners and various business areas when it comes to competitor monitoring
  • You know how to dive into large amounts of data, interpret them and derive strategic recommendations
  • By continuously monitoring the competition activities, you ensure that we are always aware of market trends so that we are ready to respond to the rapidly changing digital environment
  • You share your analysis and insights in reports or dashboards designed by you and you convey complex relationships in an easily understandable way
  • For strategic ad-hoc questions related to competitors, you get to the bottom of things and let facts speak
  • External data providers will be partially monitored and managed by you
Your Profile

Must have
  • First work experience, e.g. as a data / business analyst in the digital environment
  • Curiosity for understanding strategic issues and business models
  • Successfully completed university studies, ideally in the fields of data science, business informatics, computer science, economics, finance or natural sciences
  • You pay close attention to detail and have very good numerical skills
  • You bring a solution-oriented and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Experience with databases, you are comfortable working with SQL
  • Familiar with data processing via scripting or statistical languages, e.g. python, R
  • Very good Excel skills
  • Very good communication skills in English (German is an advantage)

Nice to have
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3, Redshift, Athena, BigQuery) or Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Knowledge in Web Scraping
  • Knowledge with a self-service BI tool (such as Power BI / Tableau) is an advantage
