Responsibilities & Profile

Your responsibilities

  • Delivering accounting advisory projects at leading insurance companies
  • Providing expert advice on accounting issues, helping clients with the practical implementation of major process and IT change
  • Leading projects and/or key workstreams and be responsible for project management aspects of those projects
  • Keeping key client and internal stakeholders familiar with the status of the projects
  • Maintaining and developing a network of relationships with relevant industry contacts
  • Acquiring work through this network and in pitching for work through formal RFP-processes
  • Building multi-disciplinary teams and for sharing best practice within KPMG
  • Keeping up-to-date with current developments in insurance accounting and reporting internationally
 

Your profile

  • Successful candidates will hold a relevant degree and have completed the Swiss CPA education
  • Profound international Insurance accounting knowledge (IFRS, US GAAP, Swiss GAAP FER etc.) and ideally economic accounting knowledge (e.g. Solvency II, Embedded Value, SST)
  • 5 – 8 years of experience in the insurance industry and ideally with consultancy experience on a large consulting project with big insurers
  • Understanding of insurance and reinsurance accounting and the interaction between the Finance department and actuaries
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
  • Ability to set priorities in order to accomplish work in a dynamic and demanding environment and a sound track record in handling different projects simultaneously
  • Experience in leading teams and projects
  • Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and the ability to think «outside the box» in order to find the best solution for our client
